The mysterious mood between realism and
abstraction results from
the
media mix of acrylic, gauze and concrete in the background.
The portrait of the Model Kendra, on the other
hand, is an oil painting
with
cold wax and asphalt paint.
Story
A very unusual experiment - oil painting with
cold wax
and
asphalt paint, acrylic painting on concrete.
It was clear to me that it should be a
portrait - the rest
was
inspiration, gut feeling and experimentation.
Technology
The special design of the background with
gauze bandages,
concrete and
acrylic was the first challenge.
I first started the portrait with PanPastel,
but
then switched to oil paints.
